Kansas City’s annual celebration of its favorite son, Charlie Parker will be held August 21st through 27th this year. There’s something for everybody, so be sure to click the SPOTLIGHT link below to get all the details, before making your plans.
On Saturday August 27th, in partnership with the Folly Theater & Tom's Town Distillery, the Dan Thomas Quintet will feature special guest Bobby Watson. The band will perform 2 sets, starting at 7:30pm at Tom’s Town Distilling Co Doors open at 7pm for complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a special Toms Town cocktail. In addition, a cash bar will also be available throughout the evening.
Over the years there have been some great jazz events featuring Dan Thomas and Bobby Watson – and this will certainly be another!

Many other performances during the weeklong celebration are free and open to the public. There are educational events, movies, outdoor concerts, and much more, held in some of Kansas City’s most exciting nightclubs.
